School Closing/Weather Mary Queen of Peace follows ISD 728 (Elk River Schools) when canceling school, dismissing early, or two hour late starts.
In cases of severe weather or other emergencies, please tune in to:
Radio: WCCO 830 AM
Television/Online: WCCO (channel 4), KSTP (channel 5), and FOX9 (channel 9)
We will also alert parents via Educate. Please make sure you have your email and phone number updated for these announcements.
In the event of a late school start,Extended Day start time will also be delayed. If school closes early due to weather, there will be NO Extended Day.
Please be aware of poor weather during winter. School districts will sometimes wait until very late before canceling school.
