Childhood dream: Walk on the Moon

I teach at a Catholic school because: At the end of Mass we are told to go forth in peace. I know that I can’t keep this gift to myself, but that I have been called to share with others. Catholic schools strive to educate the whole child, not just academically, but to grow and develop with Christ as the center of their lives. I feel led to use my talents and skills to assist the children of the parish community to do just that- to grow both academically and spiritually and live and experience Christ’s peace.

Favorite MQP moment so far: Every single time I am able to witness a child having an “Aha” or “It Clicks” moment. I love being present to celebrate that moment with them no matter how big or small.

Sports~ play, or watch: “Competitive” Knitting. How fast can I finish a knitting project so that I can start the next one?

Faith means: We are never alone, Christ is always by our side. I like the way the author Madeleine L’Engle puts it:

“Faith is for that which lies on the other side of reason. Faith is what makes life bearable, with all its tragedies and ambiguities and sudden, startling joys.”

Favorite quote or motto: From one of my favorite poets, Robert Frost: “In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: it goes on.”
